Each box is 5gal and has 2 jugs, where each jug is 2.5gal. TKS fluid is a glycol-based anti/de-icing fluid for TKS weeping-wing systems. Pumped from reservoirs to porous panels or perforated leading edges, it forms a thin, low-freezing film that helps prevent and sheds ice. Formulations use propylene or ethylene glycol with corrosion inhibitors and low-temperature additives. TKS helps to provide icing protection for wings, stabilizers, propellers, and windshields across various airspeeds and icing conditions. Regular inspection, contamination control, and using manufacturer-specified fluid and concentrations are required for performance and certification.
